It’s UAE’s 46th National Day! Everyone’s celebrating it and and we had a competition on which area was the best. Thanks for all the effort from our reception everyone appreciated it. We didn’t win though. But it’s alright.
And we’re having a looong weekend! I can’t wait to go to Dubai again. ^^
Three years back when I was still new in Al Ain, we tried the chicken peri peri in Nando’s. This was during the era of pre-braces, long hair and pre-gym.
It was a looong day. I almost give up to one of my patient. Til I see her on the next visit and hopefully the last.
But thanks for the tea, coffee, cupcakes and dates. One of our closest patient slash good acquaintance gave to us.
I just realized I’ve been away from my real home for three years! Happy anniversary to me. Haha!
It’s unusually not so busy today. But dang I forgot to pass again my papers for the quality. Cross fingers I remember it tomorrow. Haha!
It’s my favorite day tomorrow! It’s scrubs day!!
Four hours drive away multiplied by two in back and forth, that’s how far we went by. From Al Ain to Ruwais, it was a long trip that is worth to go for. Left by 10:30 in the evening and came by 3 at dawn the next day, went for fishing, witnessed the sun rise, had breakfast and left. We caught one big fish and still lucky than nothing. Now what are we gonna do with the fish? We can’t decide on what to cook. Probably a Filipino favorite dish, “sinigang.”
I’m crossing my fingers the photos I took by film will turn as decent.😜
The weekend getaway is over. Time to rest!
The month of May is the Handwashing Awareness Month and this year’s theme as per the CDC, “#SafeSurgicalHands.” As part of the health care team especially the surgical team, this is the most important step for us. And as they said, “Infection control is in your hands.” Especially in the operating room, I am most meticulous.I scrub my whole arms minimum of six minutes. I’d rather stay a bit longer in the lavatory just to ensure my hands are surgically clean. Obviously, no nurse have a soft hands. We have to rub our hands with soap and water plus the hand sanitizer hundred times each day. ^^
At the end of the day, we had a very delightful Emirati food given by our VIP patient.
We had Biryani, Harees and the other one that is made of vermicelli but it’s sweet. I wasn’t able to take a photo of that one. Boo. At first she was thinking of giving us only in our room but decided to give the whole department. It was very filling and everyone’s happy! Shukran!
